Tara Aldwin began her career in a firm much like Foxley Kingham. She later moved to the financial accounts department of Computacenter plc where she completed her ACCA, qualifying in 1998. In 1999 Tara came back into practice, joining Foxley Kingham as an Audit Senior.

The following year she moved into a managerial role and has since thrown her considerable energy into a variety of initiatives, including helping to improve compliance and efficiency across the practice with the implementation of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and new internal software, and championing client service. Over the years Tara has built up a sizeable portfolio of loyal clients and now looks after a cross-section of small & medium sized local businesses, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. In addition to providing a full range of accounts and tax planning services, Tara specialises in audit and advising charities and not-for-profit organisations.

Outside work, Tara’s great love is horses. Having ridden for over 20 years, she now looks after a Connemara x thoroughbred 30 year old pony (Fly), now in semi-retirement, and an 18hh shire horse (Zac), who holidays with her through the winter from his summer job trekking in Cumbria. Other interests include travelling, reading and learning new things, but the horses leave very little time for anything else!

Tara is also extremely passionate about conservation and the natural environment and for the last 4 years has been a Trustee of the Marine Conservation Society, a small but great charity that works to protect the UK seas, shores and wildlife. Tara is also Treasurer for a local RSPCA branch charity. Both of these posts enable her to further develop her professional specialism whilst supporting causes she really cares about.
