Modern accounting

Our history

Dedication and growth turned us into the reputable, valued partner to business that we are today.

From modest beginnings

John Kingham started the accountancy practice from a room in his house, before him and his good friend, Malcolm Foxley, went on to form Foxley Kingham in 1968 at 29 Cardiff Road in Luton. Since then, John and Malcolm’s friendship, shared love of Luton Town FC and dream of running their own accountancy practice, has seen Foxley Kingham grow from strength to strength. Now a substantial accountancy practice, with six directors, Foxley Kingham employs over 65 staff and serves over 1000 clients across Luton, Bedfordshire and the southeast of England.

Rapid growth

Even in the early years, Foxley Kingham grew rapidly, expanding its practice and its relationships within the business community. A fortuitous collaboration with a firm of stockbrokers enabled Foxley Kingham to become involved in more complex work, laying a firm foundation for its reputation and further success. In 1984, Paul Bithrey (Director) arrived and rapid growth continued. Foxley Kingham was now firmly established as one of the largest two independent accountancy firms in Luton.

Collaborative culture

The 1990s saw Foxley Kingham become a training practice; a forward-thinking move that has enabled its ability to serve the community with highly trained staff.

At the heart of what we do are our staff and our clients, many of whom have been with us decades. From trainees to qualified chartered accountants, we always have someone who can help. We strive to understand and anticipate all our clients’ requirements, and give them focused, practical advice. We aim to be an extension to their own company; as important to us as our own.

– Paul Bithrey
