Chris Powell

Chris joined Foxley Kingham in 2008 and has built his career within the firm, progressing from trainee to Client Services Director through a combination of technical expertise, client service and leadership.

He works with a broad range of clients, including corporate groups, privately owned businesses, charities and not-for-profit organisations. Chris leads audit and assurance engagements, advises on financial reporting and regulatory matters, and works closely with boards, management teams and business owners to help them navigate the opportunities and challenges facing their organisations.

Chris particularly enjoys building long-term relationships with clients and taking the time to understand their businesses, objectives and wider commercial considerations. He believes that effective advice comes from understanding the bigger picture and aims to provide practical, straightforward guidance that helps clients make informed decisions and achieve their goals.

Alongside his client responsibilities, Chris is actively involved in developing the next generation of accountants. As an ICAEW Counsellor, he supports trainees throughout their professional studies and enjoys helping them progress their careers within the profession.

What Chris enjoys most about his role is the variety it offers. No two clients are the same, and he values the opportunity to work with organisations across a wide range of sectors, helping them overcome challenges, meet their obligations and plan confidently for the future.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his family and getting out on the golf course when he can.
