Many congratulations to Aimee Dimmock, one of our apprentices, who has been awarded first place and the livery company prize for Level 4 Accounting technician apprenticeship. This trailblazing standard by world leading professional membership organisation the ICAEW (The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) has been designed as an entry-level role in accountancy.

Aimee received her awards at an international prize giving ceremony at the ICAEW Chartered Accountants Hall in Moorgate, London on 16th April 2019. The ceremony celebrated the top performing students from around the world in ACA exams.

The livery company prize recognises students who obtained the top three places within the annual order of merit of the role simulation exam. It is awarded in collaboration with the chartered accountants livery charity.

Aimee’s studies have combined off-the-job training and practical experience working at Foxley Kingham. During the apprenticeship Aimee had to sit six exams, maintain a training file and have quarterly progress reviews. In addition, once this has been completed successfully, Aimee was required to submit a portfolio and a reflective statement as well as undertake a 2.5 hour role simulation exam.

Watch out for an interview with Aimee in the next edition of “Vital”, the ICAEW’s student magazine.
