Chancellor Rishi Sunak on 3rd March unveiled the contents of his Budget in the House of Commons.
Setting out the government’s tax and spending plans for the year ahead, he announced new measures to help business and jobs through the pandemic and to support the UK’s long-term economic recovery.

The chancellor announced on 5th November a five-month extension of the furlough scheme
The UK government are extending this support to ensure the livelihoods and jobs in the UK. In recognition of the challenging times ahead, the Chancellor said he would be increasing support through the existing Job Support and self-employed schemes.
